Bachelor of Science in Economics
The Bachelor of Art degree program in Economics is designed to equip students with a variety of skills sought by employers, including conceptualizing and solving problems and locating, organizing and analyzing relevant data. Economics places students at the juncture of social science, business and social policy. The program allows Students to gain critical thinking and analytical skills, along with quantitative skills such as calculus and statistics. These skills are used to derive economic principles useful in forming policies or models designed to solve economic problems. The program helps students to explain among others the behavior of individuals and organizations in local and global context. The curriculum consists of 147 credits of coursework. The total program duration is four years. The program is designed for individuals who cannot attend on campus classes because of employment or geographical constraints.
